Accelerated Reading Program

All students in 1st and 2nd grade participate in the Accelerated Reading Program. Accelerated Reader is a program that was designed to give students practice in reading and to develop a lifelong love of reading. Students check out library books and read them at home. Students may take tests in their classroom. The Accelerated Reader program keeps track of points students earn. Points are used to reward students with positive incentives. For every 10 points earned, he/she receives an incentive in the Library.  At 100 points students become a Library Club Cub. Each student will receive a t-shirt and 1 large prize.
